Food, drink and clothing are donated by members of the public and local businesses. The food is then passed on to designated cooks who prepare the donated ingredients into a meal; typically stews and hot-pots and cakes/flapjacks. More occasionally the person cooking will have donated the full of ingredients from their own resources and a large pan of food costing as little as £7.00 can feed up to 30 people. The food is then placed into individual containers and taken out on a run by a driver and volunteer helpers to distribute to people on the streets. The food is delivered direct to wherever the person is homeless rather than a stall.
